Stekelenburg Coming Up Desk Operations

Fulham manager Martin Jol, goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg reveals the possibility to have surgery after clutching at his shoulder injury. The Dutch goalkeeper was expected to be sidelined for longer.

Stekelenburg joined Fulham from Roma this summer. 31-year-old goalkeeper was plotted to replace Mark Schwarzer who moved to Chelsea.

However, the new live action Stekelenburg one against Sunderland in August. He also had to pull the game since suffering a shoulder injury.

"If the condition does not improve within two weeks, then he had to have surgery," said Jol.

"It's been running for five weeks and it's been quite a long time. He also has received several times sundukan injury in his shoulder and is very sensitive."

"He's been practicing but when he warmed up in pain, so we have to be careful," said Jol.
